When you think of Scouting, the image that most often comes to mind is of a youth camping, canoeing hiking and or backpacking. A youth expanding his skills, gaining confidence and learning about the world around himself.
Scouting offers wonderful opportunities for young men and women to get outdoors and experience all that nature has to offer.
The Twin Rivers Council has many wonderful camps and ample options for registered Scouts to encounter nature and "unplug" for a day, a weekend or more. |
|
Opportunities are available for all ages and abilities.
Twin Rivers Council offers summer camp, both day and resident, for all Cub Scouts. Where there are experienced trained staff offering age appropriate progressive programs and advancement opportunities. Whether you are a Tiger Cub who has never been camping before or a Webelo with a summer or two of resident camp under your belt, there is a program to fit your needs and experience level. |

Summer camp is not just for Cubs, there are camping options for the older Scouts as well. Whether they are a first time camper who would benefit from the the First Year Scout program to the more experienced youth who might enjoy the challenge of a COPE course or Trek. |
|
And the fun doesn't stop when the temperature drops. The Council as well as the districts hold many events at our camps throughout the year. There are Klondike Derbies, Camp-O-Rees and Fun Days to name just a few.
Never been winter camping before? Then Opkik is just right for you. Opkik is a winter camping training experience that will provide you with the winter basic knowledge you need to camp in the cold. |

When the summer camping season is over, the peace returns to the camps.
This is a perfect time for units to make use of the extended facilities available. Go on a Pack overnight, Family Camping or perhaps a Troop Advancement Weekend. |
