Audition for the Company

eba, Inc., located in Albany, New York, is conducting a search for dancers to fill company positions with everything but anchovies Dance Theatre and Maude Baum and Company Dance Theatre.

everything but anchovies Dance Theatre is the educational component of the Company, and creates and performs original Arts in Education dance theater and workshops for students. We are currently in our 30th season of active touring in schools throughout the Northeast, and occasionally tour internationally.

Maude Baum and Company (MB & Co.) is the touring component of Albany's Dance Theatre Company. MB & Co. tours throughout the Northeast, occasionally touring internationally, and performs and teaches in our own theater in Albany, N.Y.

Company members are encouraged to create and grow with the company. Each member takes an active role in the day to day activities of the company. If you feel that you are a dedicated dance theater person, and the above appeals to you, please apply!

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong performance ability and experience in Dance Theatre. 

Strong Contemporary Modern Technique.

Teaching experience in dance or movement.

Ability to take direction and work closely with a small group of performers.

Bachelor's degree (or equiv.) in Dance or Related Arts.

Experience and desire to work in classrooms with Arts in Education workshops K-12.

OPPORTUNITIES:

To choreograph and present works in Company concerts.

To perform works by invited American Choreographers.

Teach at eba Center for Dance and Fitness and Kids Dancspace @ eba.

Teach Dance and Arts in Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend classes and rehearsals.

Performances.

Occasional administrative/tour duties.
